The use of free software and free access in educational processes

Abstract

In educational processes there are actions that allow the development of necessary skills for the future of students, including the management and use of ICT; however, it is necessary to consider the socioeconomic aspect for the implementation of ICT, the objective of this the study was "To know the use of free software and free access by teachers of the II cycle and III cycle of Basic Education". The research involves 84 teachers from the Ministry of Education (S.E.) and 23 Honduran university students, in addition to 5 national and international experts, this is a mixed-type investigation, the investigation shows that the main reason why the software is not used free in educational processes is due to ignorance and that a high percentage of teachers do not know the consequences of using unlicensed software, it is imperative that based on the results where it is shown that teachers work in isolation, repositories can be created to go developing a culture of access to information and networking.
