Abstract

The topic addressed is the virtualization of the professional improvement process through the LMS Moodle platform. The objective is aimed at assessing the development of training for university teachers in the modality of Distance Education, for the technical-instrumental-methodological management of the learning management system. The theoretical methods of analysis-synthesis and functional structural system led to the updated characterization of the overcoming process and the training proposal. In the case of the empirical, the observation of the development of the improvement in the Universidad de Oriente, the survey and the case study that allowed to verify the feasibility and confirm as the main result the readjustment of professional knowledge was used. In accordance with the above, it is asserted that the virtualization of the improvement process not only depends on an adequate digital infrastructure, but on its correspondence with the pedagogical, technological and organizational perspectives in communities of users of academic networks, Virtual Teaching-Learning Environments, from postgraduate didactics that renews and perfects the knowledge of the Education Sciences professional.
