Abstract

The teaching and learning of History as a process that takes place in Cuban Higher Education requires multiple perspectives that reflect the formative nature of the contents taught in the curricula. Accordingly, the work presented here offers an interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary view of the ethno-historical-aboriginal content of the discipline of Cuban History in the undergraduate training of professionals in the Bachelor's Degree in Education, Marxism-Leninism and History. The aim of the research is to argue the interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary character of the ethno-historical-aboriginal content in order to encourage students to study the diversity of historical sources and historical knowledge. The methods applied in the research are synthesised in surveys, interviews, participant observation and the analysis and critique of sources; their application made it possible to corroborate the need to integrate the knowledge provided by sciences such as Anthropology, Archaeology, Ethnology, Linguistics and Historiography, among others. These favour the study of the Cuban aboriginal communities from different aspects of knowledge, for which the teacher must historicise with a didactic stamp. On the basis of the above, the work includes an integral approach to the ethnohistorical-aboriginal as a content of the discipline of Cuban History.
