Abstract

The article aims to socialize the results of the research "Governance in the Mexican Educational System within the framework of the so-called Educational Reform of 2013" that was carried out in ten higher education centers in the State of Chiapas, Mexico, with the participation of teachers who carry out their academic activities in various careers of their respective institutions. The objective was to investigate the knowledge of the reform in governance in relation to the national educational model. The document is structured considering the relationship of the concept of State with the concept of governance and its inclusion in the National Educational System; The methodological part of the research is included and data on the results obtained are provided. The exploratory and descriptive method was used in the sense that it seeks to explain the behavior of the variables and, within the explanatory method, the tendency is towards the correlational and its applicability in citizen participation and governance, concluding that teachers consider that integration Consolidation and citizen collaboration in school decisions established in educational regulations is deficient, that is, there is little participation of parents and little promotion of the educational authority to social bonding.
