Abstract

The article presents a brief historical overview of preschool education in Cuba. It emphasizes the changes that occurred in each time, until the beginning of this century. It is emphasized that at this time the conditions are created to provide 100% coverage of children from zero to six years, but there are problems in the territories shall be settled by the educators themselves. In this case refer to those related to basic notions of mathematics and how the Master of Science in Education offers great possibilities for solutions to concerns about increasing the preparation of early childhood educators in these contents
