Abstract

The article addresses the issue of the impact of the Coronavirus COVID-19 in Mexican Universities. The objective of this research is to address some factors and elements derived from the pandemic and other variables associated with COVID-19, which have limited the teaching-learning process in Mexican Universities, in search of quality training and development by competencies, in addition to affecting the monitoring and control of the administrative and financial area of the IMESAD Educational Group in Mexico. For this, a study with a mixed methodological approach was conceived, based on theoretical, empirical and statistical methods, based on the situation presented by the IMESAD Universities, Torreón campus, Cancún and Cintalapa Chiapas regarding the fulfillment of tasks, the behavior of the student motivation, as well as the domain and use of the platform. The result reveals factors associated with the favorable performance of students and teachers, as well as their motivation to fulfill their work with quality, in the midst of a family environment that is not edifying and conducive to the effects of the pandemic. The results underscore the need to continually improve teachers to handle the Moodle platform.
