THE DEVELOPMENT OF SCIENTIFICAL CULTURE OF UNIVERSITY COMMUNITY FROM THE CREATION OF A GROUP TO ENCOURAGE SOCIAL TRANSFORMATION

Abstract

The early years of this century have been characterized by the statement made to the universities to give relevant answers to the current demands of society, hence the obvious need to make changes and transformations in the mechanisms of management and organization of scientific research , humanism and technology to achieve social and economic progress in a globalized world where the role of research is essential to contribute to the endogenous development with the application of its results in the communities to raise the level of the population and especially the Sucre state. In such a way, we observe how the Universidad National Experimental Polytechnic de la Furze Armada National Bolivarian (UNEFA) is determined to take part of the transformation processes, providing innovative strategies since 2003, when the University has expanded its activities throughout the national realm. Since the creation of UNEFA, Sucre core, it has experienced a significant jump in the academic processes; nevertheless, we notice major gaps in the process of knowledge generation and development and technological innovation as regards the social transformation processes, which limits the relevance and impact processes. In this paper, we present some ideas on a proper conception of research activity in UNEFA Sucre core, by adopting a coherent logic for the implementation of policies, guidelines and strategies to plan, organize, implement, monitor and evaluate the scientific activity at an institutional level as a systematic management process.
