Abstract

The measurement process in social sciences is very different from that of the natural and exact ones. Through this work, characteristic issues of quantification of constructs, which take place in educational researches, are analyzed, with special attention on the construction and validation of tests used for these ends. Actual examples are discussed where appear the necessity of combining classical methods of statistics with psychometric tools, in order to make a correct processing and quantitative analysis of psychological constructs.
