Abstract

The paper defends the importance and need of favoring a performance approach in the professional training of students majoring in Pedagogy-Psychology in the pedagogical universities. The term “performance approach” establishes a necessary relationship with the well-known term “mode of acting”, and also with the pedagogical professional skills and the ways for their assessment as an important factor in establishing the level of professional competence of the would-be pedagogues, psychologists and educative orientators, in general. The paper also offers recommendations for perfecting the performance approach in the training of psycho-pedagogues.
