Health promotion and teacher´s role in the prevention of addiction

Abstract

Cuba has a strong will to develop programs of health promotion and drug abuse prevention. The author of the investigation carried out a research, about theoretical aspects of primary teacher formation and school promotional labor, in order to detect those aspects that have to be modified to increase the quality of promoting and preventive programs, mainly those directed to prevent addictions. Several aspects were identified as incorrect, so a serious work is required to improve the promoting labor carried out by the primary professor.
