Abstract

The objective of this study was to analyze the construction validity of a rubric to evaluate research competencies of the undergraduate in pedagogy. The instrument was applied to a sample of 250 students of Pedagogy and related areas and the analysis was carried out using a multivariate method (exploratory factorial analysis). The results indicated the representation of all the items in three factors corresponding to what was theoretically proposed (the development of research projects, research project methodology and APA style standards). These results demonstrate the construction validity of such instrument.
