Abstract

Throughout the world there is evidence of an increase in drug consumption, mainly legal drugs by people; In Cuba, this has also been especially evident in relation to alcohol and tobacco. When confirming this in the various areas of the "Finlay Institute" with the application of different theoretical and empirical research methods, the need to carry out an investigative work was verified whose objective was to propose an educational strategy that contributes to the prevention of legal drug consumption in the workers of the "Finlay Institute" from natural and traditional medicine. The designed strategy provides a set of activities to be developed in three strategic directions (preventive, educational and corrective), allowing to contribute to the development of new lifestyles aimed at improving the quality of life of those involved. Natural and traditional medicine was applied as an alternative solution to the problem, highlighting important results.
