Abstract

This research presents a diagnosis in two Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) in Mexico, about the organizational climate and its dimensions: motivation and satisfaction. The direct relationship between both factors and their impact on the effectiveness of educational management processes, which are a requirement to achieve quality in education, was tested. It is a mixed-focus, descriptive, transversal and non-experimental study. The Openmet 5F questionnaire applied to 84 teachers was used. Adequate levels were found in the motivation dimension, but not in satisfaction. In addition, it was characterized that, despite having very similar salary and benefits conditions, satisfaction reaches lower levels in one of the HEIs in part due to factors such as conciliation and flexibility and equality and labor equity.
