Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to present international and national policies that promote quality education and, therefore, grant educational rights to indigenous youth. Also presented, it´s the case of the Universidad Autónoma de Chiapas (UNACH) located in one of the states in the southest region of Mexico with the highest percentages of indigenous population and social marginalization. In order to address this problem, it is necessary to adapt such policies to the political, economic and sociocultural space occupied by each of the faculties and schools of the already mentioned educational institution.
