Abstract

This paper documents the experience of quality accreditation of the virtual master's program by the Consejo Nacional de Ciencia y Tecnología (CONACYT), it is necessary to specify that, of 2500 accredited programs, only 17 belong to this modality, reason why the issue is relevant, it is an approach to unexplored routes. The arguments that are presented are based on the consideration that quality and accreditation are historical notions and their relationships are established in determined social, political and economic frameworks, so it is important to discuss and rethink the meanings assigned to them.
