Competences. Some reflections on its shaping of human personality in the process of teachers training in high education

Abstract

In This paper is made a study of the origins and theoretical bases of competence and the diversity of criteria in its definition. At the same time, the authors enquire the definition of the term competence as shape of human personality. The aim of the article is focused on reflecting about the origin and definition of competence as shape of human personality in professional teacher`s training in Cuba. The authors use documentary analysis method, and synthetic analytical procedure. It is checked that there are a big conceptual spreading of this term and it is necessary to continue studying in epistemological foundation in pedagogy, psychology and didactic contexts, because there are a lot of doubts dealing with achieving a didactic approach in managing pedagogic process of teachers formation in Cuba.
