Abstract

Topic: Case study as a pedagogical strategy in the nursing career. Objective: To design a pedagogical strategy for Case Studies in the nursing career and to evaluate its effect from the comparison of an experimental group where this strategy is developed with a base group that is maintained with traditional teaching methods. Methods: The mean difference hypothesis test is applied to check the effect of this didactic experience. Results: The design and implementation of a case study in the nursing career and the evaluation of its effect on the teaching-learning process with the application of the mean difference hypothesis test, showed that there are significant differences between the application of the method traditional teaching and case study. Conclusions: By applying the case study strategy in conjunction with international experts who advocate this teaching method, the strength of this learning strategy was determined through the mean difference hypothesis test.
