Abstract

The work refers to the complex process of evaluation of the impact of the preliminary teacher education in the Faculty of Elementary Education of the University of Pinar del Río. The study is based on the combination of qualitative and quantitative research methods. The results obtained reveal insufficiencies in the theoretical and practical stage to develop this kind of study, a fact that makes deficient the answer given by science and by the participants in this educative process. It also reveals the need to propose a model to evaluate the impact of the educative process just mentioned with scientific accuracy to cover its demands.
