Abstract

The beginning of the execution of the program of the Historical Social and Geographical Sciences program of the Hermilio Valdizán National University, Peru, structured on the basis of training projects, coincided with the beginning of the social confinement decreed by the government to prevent the spread of COVID- 19. Under these conditions, in the development of the training project managing projects to enhance the value of ecosystems, the challenge of promoting healthy ecosystems was assumed, applying various strategies and taking the necessary precautions to avoid the spread of COVID-19. The purpose of the article is to describe the development of training projects in the remote mode and to interpret the experiences of the students. The case study method, qualitative methodological perspective was used and information was collected through documentary review, observation, in-depth interview and focus groups. As a result, all teams have implemented the project undertaken and as evidence presented and supported the respective article. It is concluded that it is possible to articulate the teaching and learning process with research, train people to solve context problems from the curricular implementation and promote healthy ecosystems even in times of social confinement by COVID-19.
