Gamification as a learning tool in basic elementary language

Abstract

This research aimed to analyze gamification as a learning tool in basic elementary language; Therefore, a mixed methodological route was selected, supported by a purposeful and applied research, using the descriptive method; the collection techniques were the survey and observation applied at the Dr. Abel Gilbert Pontón fiscal school. The most relevant results indicate that teachers do not agree with the statement of having received training or training regarding gamification as a tool for teaching language, consequently, students never use language effectively and creatively during activities implemented by the teacher. In conclusion, it is recognized that the implementation of a proposal for gamification strategies as a learning tool in basic elementary language has been successful, thereby meeting the curricular objective of improving students' communication skills, both oral and written.
