Abstract

With the purpose of breaking the barrier of traditional teaching, the application of innovative models is applied to generate learning, fostering the academic - technical and scientific debate. Activities based on cases of science are incorporated as daily phenomena, concatenating the theoretical-practical action in the classroom context with real situations that are presented in authentic scenarios using the PBL. The research is quasi-experimental, with two groups: experimental and control (25 and 27 students). During these experiences, students achieve high levels of higher order thinking, developing analytical, critical and creative skills.
