Literature and culture: axis for values in the University education

Literature, the work written and appreciation implies an edifying enjoyment in the process of formation of the personality of students, and the work of the teaching involves the need to rely on local, indigenous, original authors through the use of methods of education whose cultural legacy, reading, misappropriation, disclosure and analysis is true ways of life, customs expressiontraditions, expressions, chores and knowledge of peoples representing. Such is the case of the work of Simón Rodríguez and José Martí, considered within the Latin American socio-educational paradigms.
